Exporting Your E-Mail Addresses
Sometimes, you might want an outside contractor to do your mass e-mail marketing for you.
In those cases, you will need to provide them with the e-mail address you have on file.
Here are the simple steps required to get that done.
From flowerSoft’s Main menu, follow this path:
M > M > E > E
Then just answer the questions flowerSoft will ask…
If you want to limit the exported e-mail addresses to a specific account type, such as RESIDENTIAL, enter it here.
Otherwise, all accout types will be included.
Enter the name you want to give the file these e-mail addresses will be saved to.
Enter just the name, the .csv extension will be added automatically.
The file name cannot exceed 20 characters.
flowerSoft will ask you for confirmation of the file name.
Enter the location to where the file should be saved. The file can be saved to any internal or external drive.
If saving to an internal drive, you must remember the location you saved the file to because you will need to
know it later in order to retrieve it using Windows Explorer.
Please note the if saving to a folder in either an internal or external drive, the folder name must exist.
If you are saving to a thumb (usb) drive that you will give your consultant or vendor, simply enter the drive letter
that Windows has giving it, such as E: or F:
The backslash after the folder name is required.
After flowerSoft finishes exporting the e-mail addresses, it will ask you if you want to see what you have exported.
This is a report similar to what your contractor or vendor will see when they open the file in Excel.
When opened with Excel, the file will look like this:
That is it. All you need to know to export your e-mail addresses.
