Erasing a Line Item from an Order or
How to get rid of an item on an order
OK, so you are taking an order for a customer that is buying quite a few things…
and all of a sudden he or she says “You know what, let’s forget about the basket.”
What do you do to get rid of the item?
Well, what I see most of the time is the clerk arrow up to the item and then try to use the space bar to get rid of the line, but that will not work.
Why? Because flowerSoft always defaults to a quantity of one, so if you space over the 1, flowerSoft just puts it back.
You can space over the item code, but you won’t be able to get rid of the item description either, even if you know about the (next tip) Ctrl + End keystroke combination.
So you get more and more frustrated about your inability to get rid of the item, but you shouldn’t really because there is a very simple way to accomplish what you are trying to do.
The easy way to get rid of the line is to simply enter a zero in the quantity field and hit Enter.
Viola! The item is gone and the subtotal reflects the correct new amount.
